“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Transitioning from the accounts of the Old Testament saints, the author of Hebrews directs attention to Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of all God's promises. Unlike baseless optimism, which lacks substantiation, faith in Jesus Christ is grounded in historical reality – His crucifixion and resurrection serve as undeniable proof of God's faithfulness to His word.

Faith is not belief without evidence; rather, it is belief supported by the tangible reality of Jesus Christ. He serves as the ultimate object of faith, assuring believers that their trust is well-placed. Jesus' life, death, and resurrection validate the promises of God, affirming His faithfulness throughout history.

As Children Of God, we place our hope in Jesus Christ, the founder and perfecter of our faith. By anchoring our faith in Jesus Christ, we find assurance, fulfillment, and the evidence of God's unwavering faithfulness. As we journey in faith, let us strive to live lives marked by active obedience, mirroring the exemplary faith.
