Colossians 3:1-2 “ If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” (NKJV)

Hey there Child of God, today I want to share Colossians 3:1-2 with you that has been on my heart. We are positioned in Christ. So what does this mean?

When we accept Jesus into our hearts we have been raised just like how the Lord has risen, we are seated at the right hand of God. So knowing this how do we then set our hearts on heavenly things, and not seek earthly things?

Do you feel stressed by looking at what is happening around the world? Does everything in your future look dark and bleak? Does the constant rat race to chase success tire you? That is what Paul meant by “not on things on the earth” Do not focus on what is happening around you and do not chase after things that you think will make you happy.

Now that we are seated in the heavenly places with God, lean into Him by talking to Him when you feel lost and when you need help, talk to Him when you feel lonely, or even read a verse of scripture that the Lord wants to tell you in your season of life now.

Also to set your mind on the things above is to practice His presence daily, fix your eyes on Him, keep God’s word active in your life, and as you learn to rely on the Lord and look to Him for everything, knowing that He is in control, I can say with confidence that you will NOT LACK in our life.
